Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Thuram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Tarbois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thuram comes into the arena with Dario G - Carneval de Paris blaring out of the sound system. Marcel Thuram had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarbois dips to his left and cracks Thuram with an uppercut!
Tarbois throws a series of punches but Thuram moves out of range.

Tarbois tries to clinch there but Thuram circles away.
Thuram steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tarbois.
Tarbois takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Thuram scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thuram swats away the attempt to clinch by Tarbois.
Thuram on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Thuram throws out a leg kick but Tarbois moves out of range and Thuram only half commits.

Tarbois tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thuram paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Marcel Thuram just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Tarbois slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Tarbois lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A left and a right from Thuram both land. Nice combination.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Thuram - that will leave a mark!

Thuram throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tarbois misses with a double jab.
Tarbois scores with a nice right hand.
Thuram lets loose with a powerful body kick. Tarbois will feel that in the morning.
Thuram will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Thuram scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Thuram lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tarbois's sensitive parts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thuram throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tarbois crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thuram - the referee stops the clock and Tarbois gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thuram. Tarbois manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Tarbois takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Thuram throws a head kick that Tarbois semi-blocks.
Thuram feints and then cracks Tarbois's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tarbois down.

Thuram changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tarbois tries to avoid it but Thuram manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tarbois to the ground. Tarbois escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Thuram lands with a kick to the temple. Tarbois shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Thuram counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tarbois is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kris Tarbois seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tarbois is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
