Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeganathan Mondero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vel Sirra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sirra has chosen Omen by Prodigy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sirra swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mondero walks into a jab.

Mondero bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sirra stops Mondero from passing to mount.
A lull in the action here.
Mondero trying to control the action but Sirra is working from the bottom.
Mondero working the head with strikes.
Mondero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mondero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sirra keeps working.
Sirra tries to buck Mondero off but Mondero is having none of it.
Mondero tries to move to mount but Sirra blocks the move with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mondero has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sirra is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mondero yanks on the arm and Sirra is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mondero.
