The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Drago shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vladamir Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodolfo Gracie.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Drago swivels and escapes.

Drago moves into the clinch.
Gracie can't get the takedown.
Drago lands an elbow that stopped Gracie in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Rodolfo Gracie has been cut.
Drago lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Gracie looks gassed!
Drago connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gracie's face.
Drago creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gracie's defenses.
Drago lands a damaging elbow.

That has opened up Rodolfo Gracie's cut even more.

Rodolfo Gracie's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Drago is leaning against Gracie and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie is pressed against the cage. Drago pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Gracie! Two more big strikes from Drago and Gracie crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
