Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between mark stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mark stevens had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, mark stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rudy Dog!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
stevens defending well as Dog loads up on a big left hand.

Dog shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
stevens tries to reverse the position but Dog maintains control.
Dog tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
stevens tries to hold on but Dog postures up.

Dog jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… stevens is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by stevens and Dog has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
stevens trying his best to control but Dog has mounted him.
Dog thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Dog looking to ground and pound but stevens is blocking nicely.
stevens tries to reverse the position but Dog maintains control.
Dog really doesn't want to stay on the ground with stevens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

BOOM! Dog connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Dog is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But stevens has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from stevens!
Dog looking for a sweep. Not yet Dog, not yet.
stevens prevents Dog from getting back to his feet.

stevens decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dog misses with a takedown attempt - stevens sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
stevens avoids the head kick by Dog.
stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dog paws at him with a jab and circles away.
stevens moves away from the strike by Dog.

Dog shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in stevens's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dog has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

stevens keeping moving, preventing Dog from controlling successfully.
stevens wants to sweep here but Dog controlling him for the moment.
Dog throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as stevens works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Dog might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control stevens kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dog must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Dog closes the distance and clinches.

Dog turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
stevens is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dog asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dog working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dog wants to lay and pray for a moment but stevens keeps working.
Dog lands a nice forearm strike.

Dog wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by stevens, who protects the arm well.
Dog throws a strike aimed at the side of stevens's head but stevens avoids it well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Dog closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dog wants to control but stevens is keeping him busy.
stevens wants to control but Dog postures up.
Dog is looking to take a break and control but stevens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

stevens is looking for a sweep. Dog is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dog prevents stevens from improving his position.
stevens is refusing to be controlled, as Dog sits in half guard.
stevens throws a strike from the bottom but Dog passes into side control!
Dog is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down stevens's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rudy Dog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Poor strikes thrown by Dog there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
stevens is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dog moves into full mount! stevens won't be happy about that!

stevens tries to hold on but Dog postures up.

stevens is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dog goes for an armbar but he's not got it… stevens turns into him and now he's in Dog's guard.

stevens drops back looking for a leg! Dog is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dog manages to kick stevens off! stevens jumps back into Dog's guard.

Dog had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. stevens defends it easily.
stevens wants to pass the guard but Dog is keeping the position.

Dog wriggles free and stands up.

Dog drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Dog trying to control the position from guard on top but stevens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dog postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! stevens is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dog, into his guard.
stevens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dog swivels though and keeps the full guard.
stevens is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
stevens being controlled here momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rudy Dog comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dog winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
