PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuro Kumiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck StoRnsur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kumiko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter the Samurai. Chuck StoRnsur will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StoRnsur lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kumiko backs up against the cage.

It looks like Kuro Kumiko has been cut.
StoRnsur misses with a wild combination.
StoRnsur throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kumiko.
StoRnsur misses with a wild body shot.
StoRnsur is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kumiko scores with a takedown into StoRnsur's guard.

Kumiko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
StoRnsur wants to get back to his feet but Kumiko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kumiko stops StoRnsur from standing up.

Kumiko content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kumiko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

StoRnsur is defending against the submission attempts here by Kumiko.
Kumiko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
StoRnsur is trying to stand.

Kumiko is working to tighten is grip on StoRnsur's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. StoRnsur has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kumiko is really squeezing tight and eventually StoRnsur passes out! Kumiko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
