Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chase Gooden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Gallager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gallager gets a takedown into half guard.

A frustrated look appears on Gooden's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Gooden wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gooden is trying to break the clinch but Gallager has him pressed against the cage.
Gallager keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gooden's efforts to push away.

Gooden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gallager throws a leg kick that misses.
Gooden connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gooden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gallager on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gooden ducks under a wild hook from Gallager.
Gooden steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gallager.
Gallager tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gooden swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gooden lands a lovely overhand right.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gallager crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gooden - the referee stops the clock and Gallager gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gooden. Gallager manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Gallager tries to clinch up but Gooden circles away and keeps his distance.
Gooden throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Chase Gooden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A left and a right from Gooden both land. Nice combination.

Chase Gooden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gooden feints and then cracks Gallager's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gallager down.
Gallager tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gooden swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gooden cracks Gallager with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gooden moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Gallager shoots for a double leg takedown but Gooden sprawls well. He's pushed Gallager's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gallager is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gooden scrambles and gets back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Gooden's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gallager throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gooden sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Joe Gallager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gallager throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Gooden counters with a three punch combo that has Gallager backing up. Gallager nods at Gooden to acknowledge the strikes.
Gooden avoids the body shot from Gallager.
Gooden lands with a hook. Gallager tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Gallager closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nice takedown defense from Gooden. No joy for Gallager on that attempt.

Gooden looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gooden, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
