Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harvy Bent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Hammer Fire enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harvy Bent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hammer Fire!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fire paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Fire. Bent shrugs it off though.
Bent misses with a leg kick.
Fire stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Fire throws a head kick that misses.
Bent walks into a straight right hand from Fire.
Fire thows a body kick. Bent tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Bent on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Good leg kick by Fire there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A cross from Fire lands.
Bent shoots in for a double leg but Fire sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

It looks like Harvy Bent has been cut.
Fire throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Hammer Fire is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bent is rocked!
Bent swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Fire connects with a body shot.
Bent is breathing heavily.
Fire scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bent. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bent has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fire finds it's way round the side to connect with Bent's head.

Bent walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Fire has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Bent misses with a takedown attempt - Fire sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fire fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hammer Fire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fire lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fire scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fire, right into the meat.

and Fire counters with a series of strikes. Bent will be more careful next time no doubt.

Fire lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fire is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Fire leaves Bent with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fire throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bent's head.


Harvy Bent's cut is getting worse.
Bent takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bent takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fire lands with a slapping head kick.
Fire lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fire is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bent had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fire tries to bum rush Bent with a series of wild strikes but Bent uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A looping hook to the body misses from Fire. Bent does a little dance to reset his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fire misses with a double jab.
Fire tests Bent's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hammer Fire is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bent shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bent was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bent goes for an armbar but Fire turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fire.

Bent keeping moving, preventing Fire from controlling successfully.
Fire works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fire perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bent is in trouble now - Fire has advanced to mount!
Fire controlling from mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bent is desperately trying to improve his position but Fire has a good base and remains in mount.
Bent is trying to reverse the position but instead Fire has taken his back - oops!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Fire's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Fire doesn't have the hooks in and Bent manages to turn into his guard.

Bent drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fire manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bent has Fire in his guard.
Fire wanted to stand there but Bent had control of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fire trying to control the position from guard on top but Bent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fire tries to free his leg and advance position but Bent is retaining full guard.
Fire thows a big elbow that misses.
Bent is trying to control the position but Fire postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fire passes Bent's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hammer Fire showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Bent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fire tries to avoid it but Bent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fire to the ground. Fire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fire throws a sloppy head kick and Bent moves out of range easily.
Bent shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fire pinned against the cage. Fire gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fire has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bent looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Harvy Bent has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fire is desperately trying to improve his position but Bent has a good base and remains in mount.
Bent fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fire is looking to improve his position but Bent isn't that keen on the idea.

Bent wants to finish this one by submission but Fire is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bent with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Hammer Fire comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fire winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
