Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Henk den Buur!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry misses with a straight right.
den Buur throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Henry moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Henry throws an uppercut from half a mile away. den Buur sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Henry closes the distance and clinches up with den Buur, looking for a takedown. Henry pushes den Buur against the cage but den Buur circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Henry pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
den Buur avoids the body shot from Henry.
Henry throws a shot from downtown. den Buur moves away and avoids it.
den Buur shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Henry sprawls well. Henry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. den Buur gets slowly back to his feet.

den Buur drops Henry with a beautiful combination! Henry stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - den Buur is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Henry defends well against a solid takedown attempt from den Buur.
Henk den Buur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henry blocks a head kick by den Buur.
Henry throws a jab when den Buur was well out of range.

den Buur closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Henry to the mat! Henry manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Henry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
den Buur wants to control from the top but Henry keeps moving.

No joy there for Henry, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
den Buur connects with a right hand. Henry shakes it off.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
den Buur scores with a head kick.
den Buur is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Henry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Henry wants to control but den Buur is keeping him busy.

Henry has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Henry pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Henry connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Henry moves into the clinch.

den Buur loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
den Buur wants to get up but he can't break Henry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Henry manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Henry looks to land a combination but den Buur avoids it well.
Henry throws a right and a left that both miss.
Henry lands a head shot.
Henry tries to bum rush den Buur with a series of wild strikes but den Buur uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Henry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with den Buur, pushing him back against the cage.

Henry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Henry takes a swing at den Buur's ribcage but misses.
den Buur tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Henry swivels and escapes.
Robert Henry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henk den Buur.
Henry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Henry goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
den Buur tries a head kick but it misses.
Henry misses with a leg kick.
Henry stalks den Buur and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into den Buur's face. den Buur staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Henry takes a swing at den Buur's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert Henry dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Henry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henry moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
den Buur throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
den Buur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
den Buur avoids a punch combination nicely.
Henry misses with a two punch combination.

enabling den Buur to counter with a crisp jab.

Henry has taken the fight to the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Henry ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Henry no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Henry seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Henry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Henry is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! den Buur is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
