PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gator Raid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dick might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thunderstruck. The crowd seem to be enjoying Raid's choice of entrance music: Rio de Janeiro. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, King Dick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Gator Raid!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raid scores with a takedown into Dick's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Raid lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Raid stops Dick from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Raid is looking to work some ground and pound but Dick has wrist control.
Raid postures up in Dick's guard and throws a big left but Dick blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dick shoots for a double leg takedown but Raid sprawls well. He's pushed Dick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Raid gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Dick is looking to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dick doesn't manage to clinch there - Raid circles away.
Dick tries to close the distance and clinch but Raid swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Raid fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Raid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Raid in side control lands a decent elbow.

It looks like King Dick has been cut.
Raid connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dick some visible discomfort.
Sloppy strikes there by Raid.
Raid throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Dick is looking to get back to his feet here but Raid is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dick's back.
Raid missing with punches from the back.
Dick is breathing heavily.
Raid throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Dick!

Raid landing with strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Raid is punishing Dick with strikes - can he finish him?!

King Dick's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at King Dick's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
