The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Daley bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Smialy's head.

It looks like Boleslaw Smialy has been cut.
A combination from Daley does no damage.

Smialy pushes Daley up against the cage in a clinch.
Daley tries to break the clinch but Smialy is controlling the position.
Daley tries a body shot but Smialy blocks it.
Daley fails to pull guard.
Smialy looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Daley tries to pull guard but Smialy holds him up against the cage and eventually Daley drops back down to his feet.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Smialy.

Smialy has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Daley regains guard immediately.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daley is striking from the bottom but Smialy uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Smialy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smialy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smialy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Daley, who protects the arm well.
Smialy trying to control the action but Daley is working from the bottom.
Daley is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Smialy is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Daley is trying to escape the mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Smialy there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Smialy wants to control but instead Daley manages to regain half guard.

Smialy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Daley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Smialy pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Smialy goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Daley is on top in guard.
Smialy pulls Daley in close to prevent any damage.

Daley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smialy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smialy has escaped and now he's on top!

Daley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smialy defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Boleslaw Smialy will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Daley tries to keep at a distance but Smialy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Smialy effectively controlling the action here.
Smialy lands a left hand that snaps the head of Daley backwards.

Smialy gets control of Daley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smialy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Smialy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Smialy wants to sweep but no luck.

Daley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smialy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Daley, into his guard.

Daley is defending against the submission attempts here by Smialy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Smialy uses his free foot to push down on Daley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Daley.
Smialy lands a big elbow.

Smialy is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Daley is forced to tap! Great finish!
