Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Tainaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lord Humungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tainaka comes to the cage accompanied by BATTLE FUNKASTIC. The crowd seem to be enjoying Humungus's choice of entrance music: My Speech. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lord Humungus!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humungus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tainaka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Humungus somewhat.
Humungus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Humungus pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tainaka is out of range and Humungus settles back down.
Tainaka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Humungus throws a hook to the side of Tainaka's head but Tainaka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Humungus throws a series of punches but Tainaka moves out of range.
Tainaka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Shinji Tainaka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
