Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Sceviour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and X XZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sceviour doesn't manage to clinch there - XZ circles away.
Sceviour shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says XZ as he avoids it easily.
Sceviour bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sceviour defending well as XZ loads up on a big left hand.
A telegraphed right hand from XZ misses the target.
XZ shoots in for a takedown but Sceviour shows good takedown defense.
Sceviour with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

X XZ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
XZ fails to land with a series of punches.

and XZ counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - XZ has eaten all the pies!
XZ sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sceviour's guard.
XZ is keen to just control but Sceviour is a slippery customer.
XZ passes to side control.
Sceviour gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Sceviour tries to lock up and control but XZ gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

XZ controlling the position easily from mount.
XZ wants to control the pace but Sceviour is squirming around nicely.
Sceviour has given up his back. Will we see XZ going for some submissions?
What can Sceviour do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Well, with XZ on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Sceviour is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

XZ is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Sceviour is defending well though. XZ let's go of the attempt for now.
Sceviour knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for XZ on the ground.

XZ is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Sceviour with him. Sceviour is trying to defend but XZ has an arm under the chin now! Sceviour grimaces and is forced to tap out!
