Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rollo Smek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chase might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Break. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rollo Smek!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Chase tries to clinch up.
Chase throws a leg kick but Smek checks it.
Chase misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chase tries to clinch there but Smek circles away.
A head kick misses from Chase.
Smek fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chase looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Smek shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chase as he jumps to the side.
Chase is looking to clinch but Smek is avoiding it.
Chase tries to clinch up but Smek circles away and keeps his distance.
Chase wants to clinch up but Smek keeps it at a distance.
Chase tries to close the distance and clinch but Smek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnny Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase misses with a jab to the body
and Smek counters with a series of strikes. Chase will be more careful next time no doubt.

Smek drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Chase gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Smek had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chase defends it easily.

Chase closes the distance but Smek moves to the side

and Smek counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Chase will probably get the nod.

Chase feints and then cracks Smek's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smek down.
