Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yosunaro Masashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Sparrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sparrow has chosen Voices as his entrance music. Jack Sparrow has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Yosunaro Masashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Sparrow!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Masashi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Sparrow moves into the clinch.

Sparrow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sparrow closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Masashi did well to prevent Sparrow getting side control.

Sparrow is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Masashi defends it well.
Sparrow is looking to take a break and control but Masashi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sparrow decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sparrow is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Masashi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sparrow.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Masashi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sparrow momentarily.
Masashi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Masashi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sparrow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Masashi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Masashi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sparrow moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Masashi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Masashi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Masashi wants it to stay on the feet.
Yosunaro Masashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Sparrow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jack Sparrow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sparrow has control of Masashi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Masashi regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Masashi is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Sparrow moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Masashi has worked his arm free - good work by Masashi!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yosunaro Masashi.
I think Sparrow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
