Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nate Springs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogerio Cafu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cafu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. No way out kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cafu tries for a takedown but Springs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Cafu drops back, looking for a kneebar! Springs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Springs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Springs!

Springs wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cafu, who protects the arm well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Springs has control of Cafu's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cafu regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Springs jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cafu is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cafu and Springs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cafu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Springs finds it's way round the side to connect with Cafu's head.

Cafu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
