The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alco dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alco tries to score a power double leg takedown but Belugin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alco somewhat.

It looks like Vadim Belugin has been cut.
Belugin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alco lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alco swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Alco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Belugin moves away.
Belugin throws a looping overhand right but Alco ducks down to avoid it.
Alco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Belugin as he jumps to the side.
Alco is looking to clinch.

Belugin slips a jab and a cross from Alco.
Belugin blocks a leg kick.
Alco shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Belugin as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nuri Alco. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Belugin circles away.
Belugin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Alco counters with a nice uppercut.

Belugin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Belugin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alco throws a front kick aimed at Belugin's knee but Belugin avoids it well.

A big right from Alco misses.
Alco shoots in looking for a takedown. Belugin tries to sprawl out of it but Alco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Belugin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Alco is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Belugin throws a combination that misses

Alco throws out a leg kick but Belugin moves out of range and Alco only half commits.

Alco looks to land a combination but Belugin avoids it well.
Alco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Belugin swivels and escapes.
Alco lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That has opened up Vadim Belugin's cut even more.

Alco goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Alco moves in looking to clinch but Belugin pushes him off.
Alco dives in and grabs Belugin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Belugin pushes down on Alco's head and hops out.

Belugin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Alco counter with a right hand.
Alco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Belugin's waist but Belugin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alco off to one side.

The cut above Vadim Belugin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alco throws a wild body kick that Belugin sees coming a mile off.
Alco fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Alco misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Belugin swats away the attempt to clinch by Alco.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Belugin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Alco is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Belugin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Belugin's back!

Alco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Belugin is trying to defend against the choke here but Alco has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Alco Tightens the hold and Belugin taps out furiously! Alco displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
