Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Numero Ocho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Vodkastov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vodkastov has chosen John Lennon - Imagine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vladimir Vodkastov was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Vodkastov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ocho catches Vodkastov napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Vodkastov to the canvas!


It looks like Vladimir Vodkastov has been cut.

Vodkastov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ocho sprawls well initially but Vodkastov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Vodkastov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ocho tries to avoid it but Vodkastov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ocho to the ground. Ocho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vodkastov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ocho as he avoids it easily.

Ocho lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ocho, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
