Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Pat Sumrall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei East!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumrall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pat Sumrall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Sumrall.
Sumrall is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
East dives in and grabs Sumrall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sumrall pushes down on East's head and hops out.
East fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sumrall avoids it really well and circles away.
Sumrall lands with a kick to the temple. East shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sumrall leaves East with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sumrall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but East paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sumrall loads up on a big right hand but East slips the punch.
East blocks a jab.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
East avoids the body shot from Sumrall.

Sumrall gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

East shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The referee warns Sumrall that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sumrall is desperately trying to improve his position but East has a good base and remains in mount.

Sumrall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

East is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sumrall to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sumrall shrugs it off.

Andrei East showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Andrei East has got the better of the ground game so far.

East looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sumrall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

East is working to tighten is grip on Sumrall's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sumrall has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but East is really squeezing tight and eventually Sumrall passes out! East breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
