Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Your Nightmare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Your Nightmare!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nightmare tries to close the distance and clinch but Gordon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nightmare shoots in looking for a takedown. Gordon tries to sprawl out of it but Nightmare keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gordon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Your Nightmare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nightmare tries to keep at a distance but Gordon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nightmare tries to pull guard but Gordon holds him up against the cage and eventually Nightmare drops back down to his feet.
Gordon is trying to drag Nightmare to the mat but Nightmare just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gordon lands a body shot.
Nightmare drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gordon gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Nightmare tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Nightmare has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gordon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Nightmare is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Nightmare tries to get the hooks in deep but Gordon pushed the leg off.
Gordon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nightmare on the ground.
Nightmare lands punches and elbows.

Gordon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Nightmare is hanging on to Gordon's back as he tries to escape.

Nightmare keeps control of the position easily here as Gordon tries to buck him off.
Nightmare has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Gordon.
Nightmare trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Nightmare controlling the position well here. Gordon rolled but Nightmare kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Gordon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nightmare slaps away a takedown attempt from Gordon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gordon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nightmare paws at him with a jab and circles away.
John Gordon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gordon is pressed up against the cage. Nightmare has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gordon down to the mat. Gordon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon tries to clinch but Nightmare moves out of range.
The crowd cheers as Gordon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nightmare doesn't seem phased though.

Nightmare shoots for a double leg takedown but Gordon sprawls well. He's pushed Nightmare's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gordon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nightmare tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Nightmare fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nightmare wants to break free but Gordon has control.
Nightmare is trying to drag Gordon to the mat but Gordon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nightmare jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gordon walks away with a smile on his face. Nightmare gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gordon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nightmare.
Gordon shoots for a double leg takedown but Nightmare sprawls well. He's pushed Gordon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gordon throws a right and a left that Nightmare avoids nicely.
Gordon throws a nice looking combination but Nightmare bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gordon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gordon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Poor strikes thrown by Gordon there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Nightmare tries to lock up and control but Gordon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nightmare is squirming around, avoiding Gordon's attempts to control the action.

Gordon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nightmare is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nightmare and Gordon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Nightmare regains half guard.
Gordon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nightmare makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nightmare.
Nightmare is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nightmare lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gordon!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nightmare is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gordon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gordon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gordon tries to get out of the position.
Gordon is squirming around, avoiding Nightmare's attempts to control the action.

Nightmare stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Gordon tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Nightmare counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gordon is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Nightmare tries a head kick but it misses.
Gordon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Nightmare counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nightmare.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nightmare accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gordon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nightmare is controlling him.
Nightmare postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nightmare wants to control from the top but Gordon keeps moving.

Nightmare tries to stand but Gordon is controlling from the bottom.
Your Nightmare has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gordon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nightmare is stalling in the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nightmare.
Gordon misses with a wild combination.
Gordon fails with the takedown.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gordon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nightmare.
Nightmare shoots in for a takedown but Gordon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Nightmare is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nightmare takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gordon lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Nightmare fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gordon tries to pull guard but Nightmare won't allow it.
Gordon misses with an elbow over the top.
A frustrated look appears on Gordon's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nightmare tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gordon smiles and moves away.
A low kick from Gordon is predictable there
and Nightmare counters with a body kick.
Nightmare throws a leg kick but Gordon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Nightmare shoots for a takedown but Gordon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nightmare tries to clinch but Gordon moves away

and Gordon moves into the clinch.
Gordon prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gordon wants to break free but Nightmare has control.

Gordon gets control of Nightmare's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gordon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nightmare looking to sit in guard and control but Gordon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Nightmare wants to sweep here but Gordon controlling him for the moment.

Nightmare has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gordon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gordon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nightmare is proving hard to escape from.
