Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppe Omni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omni's entrance music is Search and Destroy. A fine choice. Law comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Over my head by The Fray kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omni misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Law.
Omni looks to land a left hand but Law moved out of range nicely.
Law tries a head kick but it misses.
Omni avoids the head kick by Law.
Law looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Omni throws a jab when Law was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Law avoids the body shot from Omni.
A clash of legs there as Law blocks the low kick.

and Omni counters with a good, hard body kick but Law shrugs it off.

Omni sizes up Law with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Law tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Omni digs a good hook to Law's body.
Omni throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Omni fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Law.
Omni thuds a left hand into Law's body.
A slapping body kick lands there for Omni.
Omni lands a head kick!
Omni misses with a body kick.
Omni moves into the clinch.

Law tries to pull guard but Omni holds him up against the cage and eventually Law drops back down to his feet.
Omni throws an elbow that misses.
Omni wants the takedown. Law is fighting it off but Omni persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Law's guard against the cage.
Law is working an open guard so Omni takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Omni takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Giuseppe Omni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Law throws a head kick that misses
and Omni counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Law!
Law tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Law is trying to stand up.
Law gets back to half guard.
Omni lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Omni decides to stand and escape the position.

and Law counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Omni is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Law throws a sloppy head kick
letting Omni counter with a right hand.
Omni moves in looking to clinch but Law pushes him off.
Law shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Omni pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Law shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Omni counters with a series of strikes. Law will be more careful next time no doubt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Law throws a lazy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Omni throws the left hand but Law avoids the punch easily.
Omni is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Law can do to turn this around?

Law moves out of range as Omni strikes.
Law lands a head kick. Omni smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Omni shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Law is trying to defend but Omni finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Omni works his way into side control.
Law sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Omni throws a nice looking combination but Law bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Law fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Omni manages to avoid it.
Omni looks to land a right hand but Law moved out of range.
Omni throws a right and a left that both miss.
Omni tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Law ducks under a wild hook from Omni.
Law closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Law showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Omni.
Omni tries to clinch up.
Law motions for Omni to come forward. Law throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Omni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Law moves away.
Law lands a head kick. Omni smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Omni closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Law to the mat! Law manages to get full guard.

Law looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Law working for a triangle but Omni defends it easily.
Omni stops Law from standing up.
Omni decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Omni takes a swing at Law's ribcage but misses.
Omni does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Omni swings for the body but Law moves out of range.
Law with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Law throws a sloppy head kick
and Omni counters with a single leg into guard. Law didn't expect that.

Omni with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Omni landing with the ground and pound.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Omni wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Law, who protects the arm well.
Omni creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Law sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Law tries to buck Omni off but Omni is having none of it.
Law is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Omni has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Law takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Omni is working Law over with some ground and pound from side control.
Law is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Omni's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Law looks like he's trying to stand up.
Law is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Omni pulls his head out easily.
Rick Law has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Omni is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Omni thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Law's head.
Giuseppe Omni overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Omni is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Law has managed to free his arm - good work.

Law has hold of Omni's hands but Omni slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Omni winds up and cracks Law with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Omni gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Law throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Omni will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Omni misses with a series of wild punches.
Omni shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Law napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Law tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Law is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Omni has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Law takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Law is looking to regain half guard here but Omni keeps moving and retains side control.
Omni stands up and beckons Law to his feet.

Well Omni has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
