Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between jkjg dsd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, jkjg dsd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Forrest Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dsd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffin as he jumps to the side.
dsd takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


It looks like jkjg dsd has been cut.
Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet.

dsd closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on dsd's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Griffin working hard to break the clinch.
Griffin fails to pull guard.
Griffin with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Griffin with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
dsd stalling against the cage.
Griffin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. dsd is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

dsd manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
dsd wants to sweep but no luck.
dsd wants to stand up but Griffin is controlling him.
Griffin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

dsd looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Griffin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Griffin wants to stand but dsd is controlling his posture from full guard.
Griffin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
dsd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Griffin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Griffin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Griffin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but dsd manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Griffin has dsd in his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griffin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Griffin has dsd pulled in close to control his posture.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
dsd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and dsd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
dsd is breathing heavily.

dsd decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Griffin, up you get!

dsd gets caught flat footed, as Griffin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with dsd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Griffin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

dsd is trying to keep Griffin in close.

Griffin tries to free his leg and advance position but dsd is retaining full guard.

Griffin has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, dsd works to full guard.

dsd wants to sweep here but Griffin controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
dsd is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

dsd is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
dsd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Griffin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches dsd napping and manages to drive through into side control!
dsd is trying to get back to half guard.
dsd seems a little lost for a moment, as Griffin dominates the positioning.
Griffin wants to control but dsd is keeping him busy.
Griffin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Griffin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

I would just about give that final round to Forrest Griffin.
