Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarno Ahma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Javier Chavez Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahma looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Chavez Jr!
Chavez Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ahma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ahma unloads with some shots from mount but Chavez Jr bucks and avoids them well.
Ahma punching from mount but Chavez Jr doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Ahma has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Poor strikes thrown by Ahma there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahma tries to control but Chavez Jr wriggling away.
Ahma has hold of Chavez Jr's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chavez Jr manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ahma throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Ahma is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chavez Jr can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ahma wants to finish this one by submission but Chavez Jr is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ahma.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ahma is working for a guillotine from mount but Chavez Jr frees his head quite easily.
Ahma is breathing heavily.
Ahma moves to the back.
Ahma is persistently looking for the submission but Chavez Jr is defending it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ahma is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Chavez Jr is defending well though. Ahma let's go of the attempt for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chavez Jr is trying to get back to his feet but Ahma has full control of the position and if anything, Chavez Jr has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Ahma thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ahma patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Ahma is cranking Chavez Jr's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Chavez Jr! He's tightened the choke and Chavez Jr is tapping out!
