Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fransico Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man-Black Sabbath. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vera misses the shot to the body.
Vera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vera throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Junior throws out a powerful jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vera.
Junior just misses with a punch to the body.

Vera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Junior swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Junior is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Junior throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vera was covering up waiting for the punch and Junior finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Junior thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Vera is trying to control but can't.

Junior is stalling here. Vera is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Junior seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Vera has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Junior is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Junior takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Junior takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
You can see the frustration on Junior's face as Vera controls the position.
Vera lands some shots froms side control.
Vera is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Junior's shoulder. That is not cool.

Junior shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vera pinned against the cage. Vera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Vera counters with a good, hard body kick but Junior shrugs it off.

and Junior counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Junior throws and elbow that misses. Vera uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Junior's guard. Nice move by Vera!

Vera misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Vera is landing with some decent strikes but Junior is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Vera has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Junior's face.
