PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miles Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doc Patterson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miles Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jenkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Patterson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jenkins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Patterson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Patterson has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
Jenkins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jenkins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Patterson has worked his arm free - good work by Patterson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well Patterson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
