PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pongor Szinko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Claremont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szinko's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Pursuit of Vikings. Matt Claremont told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szinko fails to land with a series of punches.

Szinko clinches up against the cage.
Claremont throws a knee to the head but misses.
Szinko is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Claremont is defending well for now.
Szinko dodges an elbow strike from Claremont.

Claremont has had enough of the clinch but Szinko keeps him there for the moment.

Claremont is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Szinko pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Claremont drops down looking for an ankle pick but Szinko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Szinko bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Claremont's head.
Claremont throws a push kick but Szinko slaps the foot to one side.

Szinko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Claremont, pushing him back against the cage.

Szinko manages to break the clinch.
Claremont tries to bum rush Szinko with a series of wild strikes but Szinko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Claremont tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Szinko was well out of range. Poor timing from Claremont.
Claremont misses with a wild combination.
Claremont avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Szinko darts in and clinches Claremont up against the cage.
Claremont wants to get back to striking at distance but Szinko won't allow it.
Szinko landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Szinko comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Szinko lands a nice looking body shot.

Claremont swings wildly with an uppercut but Szinko uses good head movement to avoid it.

Claremont avoids the elbow strike from Szinko, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Szinko.
Claremont wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Szinko has him pressed against the cage.
Szinko creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Claremont's defenses.

Matt Claremont's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Claremont moves in looking to clinch but Szinko pushes him off.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Szinko throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Claremont blocks it with crossed arms.

Szinko lands a good knee to the midsection. Claremont won't want to take too many of those.
