Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tang Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caloy Labayen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tang Po has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tang Po!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Caloy Labayen!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po wants to clinch up but Labayen keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Po looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Po tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Labayen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Po moves in looking to clinch but Labayen pushes him off.

Labayen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Po bucks up and tries to throw Labayen off but instead Labayen has got his back!
What can Po do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Labayen is trying to stick to Po's back but Po is turning into Labayen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Labayen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Po.

Labayen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Labayen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
