Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mayger Mayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geoff Pulitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayne comes to the ring accompanied by Suikoden 2 OST (the entire thing). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayne is looking to land body kicks.
Pulitz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pulitz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mayne momentarily.

Mayne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pulitz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pulitz can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mayne wants to control from the top but Pulitz keeps moving.

Mayne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mayne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pulitz wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pulitz dips a shoulder and cracks Mayne with a mighty uppercut! Mayne falls back against the ropes and Pulitz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Mayne is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pulitz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
