Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cayden Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khara Al Matayze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Al Matayze's waist but Al Matayze gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Al Matayze sprawls well. Al Matayze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Al Matayze paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Al Matayze takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Al Matayze tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Al Matayze scores with a jab. Johnson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Al Matayze throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Johnson wants to control but Al Matayze is keeping him busy.

Al Matayze is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily.

Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Al Matayze has wrist control.

Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Al Matayze is proving hard to escape from.
Johnson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Al Matayze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Al Matayze circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Al Matayze prevents a takedown attempt there.
Johnson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Johnson gets control of Al Matayze's arms and successfully pulls guard. Johnson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Al Matayze drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Al Matayze has Johnson in his guard.

Al Matayze is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Al Matayze quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Johnson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast!
