Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between stephen gerrard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nazad Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that stephen gerrard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily stephen gerrard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ali drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ali wants to pass the guard but gerrard is keeping the position.

gerrard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

gerrard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ali got a little sloppy there for a moment and gerrard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ali has managed to get both his arms back between gerrard's legs - danger averted.

gerrard has his foot on Ali's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ali works his way back into a safe position though.
gerrard is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ali wants to control from the top but gerrard keeps moving.

gerrard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ali can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

gerrard has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ali should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, gerrard has tightened it up now! Ali should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
