The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mays lands a right hook to the body.
Santara Amarillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Amarillo misses with a head kick.
Amarillo throws a leg kick that misses.
Mays tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Amarillo was well out of range. Poor timing from Mays.
Amarillo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mays's hands.

Amarillo feints and then cracks Mays's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mays down.
Amarillo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mays looks to score with a jab to the body but Amarillo is just out of range.
Mays defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Amarillo.

Amarillo is looking to clinch but Mays is avoiding it.
Mays takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Amarillo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mays tries to avoid it but Amarillo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mays to the ground. Mays escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
