Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Alves!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez avoids a punch combination nicely.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Alvarez.

Alvarez swings around for an armbar but Alves sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Alvarez's guard.

Alvarez has his foot on Alves's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alves works his way back into a safe position though.
Alves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alves passes Alvarez's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The fighters circle momentarily. Alvarez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eddie Alvarez will probably get the nod.
