Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Reggie White!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Metti is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

White breaks Metti's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Metti working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. White doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. White manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Metti rushes White and presses him up against the cage.
Metti throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but White blocks it with crossed arms.
White is trying to break free.
With the fighters up against the cage, Metti throws an elbow but misses.
White tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Metti smiles and moves away.
A head kick from Metti lands but White takes it in his stride.
White is still on wobbly legs! Can Metti finish him?

White seems to have recovered his senses.
Metti misses with an elbow strike.
White fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Metti has White pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. White manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

White changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Metti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
White wants to stand but Metti is controlling his arm.

White lands a couple of digs.

Metti had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. White is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Metti Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take White's back instead.
