Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Artemis Barracus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brutus Artemis Barracus!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barracus tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rogan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Barracus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rogan walks away with a smile on his face. Barracus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rogan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Charlie Rogan has been cut.
Rogan shoots in but Barracus avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Barracus has closed the distance and engaged Rogan in a clinch.
Barracus can't break the clinch.
Barracus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rogan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Barracus's efforts to push away.
Rogan tries to pull guard but Barracus holds him up against the cage and eventually Rogan drops back down to his feet.
Rogan misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Barracus breaks from the clinch.

Barracus gets caught flat footed, as Rogan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Barracus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rogan slips nicely into half guard.
Barracus is staying active underneath Rogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rogan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barracus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rogan.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barracus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Barracus is defending against the submission attempts here by Rogan.

Rogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Barracus is trying to stand back up but Rogan is controlling him

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rogan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Barracus has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rogan is breathing heavily.

Rogan seems to be working for a kimura but Barracus defends the submission attempt.

Barracus is defending against the submission attempts here by Rogan.
Barracus is trying to control but can't.
Barracus wants to improve his position but Rogan is controlling well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rogan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Barracus scores with the left hand. Rogan knows he should have avoided that one.
Rogan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barracus.

A jab-cross combination lands for Barracus and sends Rogan crashing to the mat! Barracus follows him down to the mat - Rogan regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Barracus tries to stand and escape but Rogan is controlling the position.
Barracus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogan keeps working.
Rogan manages to get to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barracus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogan is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brutus Artemis Barracus dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Charlie Rogan's cut.
That's time! Rogan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Barracus moves into the clinch successfully.
Barracus wants a takedown.

Rogan lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Rogan.
Rogan is trying to control the action in half guard but Barracus is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rogan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Rogan is looking for a kimura but Barracus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rogan to get the leverage.
Rogan slips a nice elbow through Barracus's hands, connecting with Barracus's forehead.
Rogan works his foot free and advances to mount.
Rogan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Barracus can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Barracus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rogan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Barracus to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Barracus shrugs it off.
Barracus tries to control the position but Rogan now has his back.

Barracus controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Rogan thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Rogan is hanging on to Barracus's back as he tries to escape.
Rogan lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Barracus hold on?!
Rogan gets his hands free as Barracus looks to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rogan lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Rogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barracus holding both Rogan 's hands and preventing any damage.
Rogan is punishing Barracus with strikes - can he finish him?!
Rogan scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Barracus is looking for a way out.

Rogan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Barracus has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rogan is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Barracus defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Barracus is trying to get back to his feet but Rogan has full control of the position and if anything, Barracus has just worked his way into a worse spot.
