The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weatherby tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Tyson Weatherby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weatherby avoids a punch combination nicely.
Weatherby throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Weatherby throws a head kick that misses.
Weatherby tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Weatherby throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Weatherby tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
Weatherby shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Kevin Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Weatherby.
Smith scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Weatherby counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith thows a body shot but no joy.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Weatherby was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Weatherby is rocked!
Smith fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Weatherby to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Weatherby looks to clinch but Smith throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Weatherby taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
