The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosawa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sawyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sawyer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sawyer tries to land a leg kick but Kurosawa saw it coming and moves away.
Kurosawa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sawyer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kurosawa is working for takedown but Sawyer is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kurosawa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sawyer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

No joy there for Sawyer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Sawyer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kurosawa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sawyer throws out the jab.

Well Sawyer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
