Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaques Trape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itof Meyachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meyachev has chosen Pussy by Rammstein as his entrance music. Itof Meyachev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaques Trape!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Itof Meyachev!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Trape, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Meyachev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Meyachev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Trape is trying to stand.
Trape on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Trape tries to get out of the position.
Meyachev stalling.
Meyachev's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Meyachev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Trape looks like he's trying to stand up.
Meyachev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Despite being in the dominant position, Itof Meyachev just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Meyachev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Trape tries to kick Meyachev off but Meyachev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Meyachev takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Trape pushes Meyachev off looking to stand but Meyachev dives back in and keeps control.

Trape is staying active underneath Meyachev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Meyachev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Meyachev passes the guard and advances to mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Trape is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Meyachev unloads with some shots from mount but Trape bucks and avoids them well.

Meyachev has hold of Trape's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Trape manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Trape throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Meyachev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Meyachev wants to pass the guard but Trape is defending well.

Meyachev stays in close to Trape's body and controls the position.

Trape doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Meyachev counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Trape!
Meyachev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trape is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Poor strikes thrown by Meyachev there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Trape throws a right and a left that Meyachev avoids nicely.
Trape misses with a jab, cross combination.
Meyachev shoots for a double leg takedown but Trape sprawls well. He's pushed Meyachev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Trape swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Trape, as that shot connected.
Trape misses with a hook.

Trape gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Trape keeping moving, preventing Meyachev from controlling successfully.
Meyachev's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Trape wants to stand and escape but Meyachev is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Itof Meyachev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Trape throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meyachev.
Trape swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Trape misses with a series of wild punches.
Meyachev connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Meyachev shoots in looking for a takedown. Trape tries to sprawl out of it but Meyachev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trape manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Trape throws a left and a right that both miss

and Meyachev counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Trape!

Meyachev has hold of Trape's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Trape manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Meyachev is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Trape is surviving well by controlling Meyachev's body position as best he can.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Trape is squirming around, avoiding Meyachev's attempts to control the action.

Meyachev throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Trape because Meyachev loaded up on that one.

Meyachev is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Trape can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Meyachev is trying to take his opponent's back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Trape is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Meyachev won't let Trape get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Trape rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meyachev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Trape lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Meyachev is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Itof Meyachev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Meyachev winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
