PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otaku Senzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shingo Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senzuri comes to the ring accompanied by Tori Amos-Code Red . Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oyama bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Oyama is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Senzuri's shoulder. That is not cool.
Oyama is looking to take a break and control but Senzuri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Senzuri is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Oyama tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Senzuri is trying to control Oyama's posture but Oyama avoids it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Oyama.
Oyama is trying to drag Senzuri to the mat but Senzuri just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Oyama gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Senzuri regains guard.

Senzuri escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oyama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Senzuri pushes Oyama off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Oyama shoots in looking for a takedown. Senzuri tries to sprawl out of it but Oyama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Senzuri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Otaku Senzuri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shingo Oyama.

Senzuri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Oyama was well out of range. Poor timing from Senzuri.
Senzuri lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Oyama counters with a nice double leg into side control. Senzuri won't be happy with that.

That's time! Senzuri's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Senzuri tries for a takedown but Oyama sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Oyama closes the distance and clinches.
Senzuri can't break the clinch.
Senzuri tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Oyama just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Oyama tries to score a body lock takedown but Senzuri shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Oyama is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Senzuri is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oyama has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Senzuri clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That was a close second round but I would say that Otaku Senzuri will probably get the nod.

Oyama wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Senzuri's closed guard. He's half up but Senzuri has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Senzuri pivots and extends the arm, Oyama falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Senzuri! Well done that man!
