Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaewkwan Plumuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Morisawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morisawa has chosen M1dy - Cold Pizza as his entrance music. Shinji Morisawa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaewkwan Plumuk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Morisawa!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morisawa throws a body punch but Plumuk moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Plumuk lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Morisawa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Morisawa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Plumuk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Morisawa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Morisawa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Plumuk as he avoids it easily.
Morisawa shoots in but no luck this time.
Kaewkwan Plumuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinji Morisawa.

Morisawa attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
No luck for Morisawa with that takedown attempt.
Morisawa wants to clinch up but Plumuk keeps it at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Morisawa shoots in for a takedown but Plumuk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Plumuk connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Plumuk.
Plumuk slaps away a takedown attempt from Morisawa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Morisawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Plumuk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Plumuk scores with a leg kick.

Morisawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Morisawa not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Plumuk is looking for a sweep. Morisawa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Morisawa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Plumuk is just riding it out for now. Morisawa eventually gives up the hold.

Plumuk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morisawa on the ground.

Morisawa is pressing down on Plumuk's thigh, looking to free his foot. Plumuk is holding on for now.
Morisawa is looking to take a break and control but Plumuk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Plumuk is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Plumuk throws the left hand but Morisawa avoids the punch easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Plumuk misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaewkwan Plumuk dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Morisawa misses with an uppercut. Plumuk saw that one coming.

Morisawa looks for a takedown but Plumuk sprawls well.
Morisawa tries to clinch up but Plumuk circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters circle momentarily. Plumuk darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Morisawa avoids the body shot from Plumuk.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Plumuk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morisawa manages to avoid it.
A clash of legs there as Morisawa blocks the low kick.
Morisawa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Plumuk scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Plumuk misses.
Morisawa defending well as Plumuk loads up on a big left hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kaewkwan Plumuk showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Plumuk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
