The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman.
Coleman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Coleman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but LaRusso circles away quickly and effectively.
Coleman swats away the attempt to clinch by LaRusso.
Coleman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but LaRusso swivels and escapes.
Coleman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Coleman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
LaRusso swings and misses with a hook to the body.
LaRusso throws a looping overhand right but Coleman ducks down to avoid it.
LaRusso connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Coleman momentarily.
Coleman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
LaRusso stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Coleman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Coleman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and LaRusso dives on top into guard.
LaRusso is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him.

Coleman wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Coleman drives through and clinches with LaRusso against the cage.

Coleman throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but LaRusso blocks it with crossed arms.

LaRusso lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
LaRusso ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Daniel LaRusso is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
LaRusso scores with a hook to the body. Coleman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Coleman is breathing heavily.
LaRusso throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
LaRusso dodges the punch combination from Coleman.

LaRusso ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Mark Coleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
LaRusso is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

LaRusso clinches up with Coleman and pushes him back against the cage.
Coleman tries to land a knee to the head but LaRusso blocks with his arms.
Coleman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as LaRusso walks away with a smile on his face. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for LaRusso, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
