Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Proudstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and San Lucas Mussolini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Proudstar comes to the cage accompanied by "Run to the hills" by Iron Maiden. Mussolini comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You gonna git bombed kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! San Lucas Mussolini has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mussolini looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Proudstar instigates a clinch.

Mussolini swings wildly with an uppercut but Proudstar uses good head movement to avoid it.

Proudstar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mussolini.

San Lucas Mussolini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mussolini throws a quick inside leg kick.
Mussolini wants to land a leg kick but Proudstar is out of range.
Mussolini closes the distance but Proudstar moves to the side
and Proudstar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Proudstar.

and Proudstar counters with a low kick, right behind Mussolini 's knee.
Proudstar misses with an attempted mid kick.
Proudstar throws a push kick but Mussolini slaps the foot to one side.

Mussolini misses with a series of wild punches.
Mussolini throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Proudstar counters with a thumping low kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Proudstar.
Mussolini closes the distance looking to clinch
and Proudstar counters with a good low kick that Mussolini was not able to check.

Mussolini takes a jab right on the kisser.
Proudstar lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mussolini's sensitive parts.

Proudstar closes the distance and clinches.
Mussolini takes an elbow to the forehead.
Proudstar manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Proudstar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mussolini blocks it with crossed arms.
Proudstar connects with a knee to the head.
That has opened up San Lucas Mussolini's cut even more.
Proudstar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Proudstar scores a nice knee to the body.
Proudstar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mussolini can't fight it off and eventually Proudstar manages to take the fight to the floor. Mussolini looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Proudstar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mussolini's guard.

Mussolini wants to get back to his feet.
Proudstar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Proudstar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Proudstar connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Proudstar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Proudstar wants to control the pace but Mussolini is squirming around nicely.
Mussolini wants to control but Proudstar is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mussolini tries to lock up and control but Proudstar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Proudstar dips to his left and cracks Mussolini with an uppercut!
Mussolini tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Mussolini wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Proudstar has him pressed against the cage.

Mussolini is looking to break free of the clinch but Proudstar has double underhooks.

Mussolini has had enough of the clinch but Proudstar keeps him there for the moment.
Mussolini breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Proudstar throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Proudstar gets a clinch.
Mussolini avoiding damage as Proudstar throws knees to the body.
Proudstar is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Mussolini is breathing heavily.
Proudstar lands an elbow inside.
The cut above San Lucas Mussolini's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Proudstar lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
San Lucas Mussolini's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at San Lucas Mussolini's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
