Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zack Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Colmen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Miller. Colmen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Colmen connects with a high kick.
Colmen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Colmen was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miller controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Colmen is keeping the position.
Colmen has Miller pulled in close to control his posture.
Miller stands and throws Colmen's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Miller cracks Colmen with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Miller is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Colmen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Colmen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Miller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Colmen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Miller is trying to ground and pound but Colmen uses the momentary lack of control by Miller to regain half guard.

Colmen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miller is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Miller throws a strike but Colmen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Colmen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miller won't allow Colmen to sweep him here.
Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Zack Miller will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Colmen counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Miller avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Colmen defends it nicely.

Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Miller throws and elbow that misses. Colmen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Miller's guard. Nice move by Colmen!

That was a close second round but I would say that Zack Miller will probably get the nod.
That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Miller wants to control from the top but Colmen keeps moving.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Colmen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zack Miller showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
