Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos da Guia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hudson Levine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Levine is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Parkway Drive - Carrion. Carlos da Guia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levine thumps da Guia with a low kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Levine.
Levine throws and low kick but da Guia moves out of range easily.
Levine connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
da Guia fails with an attempt to clinch.
Levine pivots, looking for a leg kick but da Guia is out of range and Levine settles back down.
Levine throws a leg kick but da Guia sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Levine lands a high kick!
da Guia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Levine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Levine lands in his opponent's guard.
Levine drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Levine jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Levine slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Levine stands up over da Guia, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Levine is working da Guia over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Levine might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control da Guia kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

da Guia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Levine on the ground.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Levine darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

da Guia tries to roll over but Levine keeps him under control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Levine lands a nice short elbow.
Levine moves into full mount! da Guia won't be happy about that!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
