Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ray Je (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Je comes to the cage accompanied by I Can't Decide. Ray Je looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julio Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Je sprawls well. Je wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.
Julio Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Je throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Je as Sanchez shoots in.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sanchez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sanchez is looking to clinch but Je is avoiding it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Je gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sanchez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Je is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Je manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Je's guard.

Sanchez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Je's guard.
Je is breathing heavily.
Sanchez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Je is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

Sanchez wants to work for an arm triangle but Je is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Sanchez is trying to work for a kimura but Je is defending well.

Je wants to get back to his feet.

Sanchez wants to take a breather but Je is having none of it.
Je knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.

Sanchez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Je sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sanchez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Je tries to kick Sanchez off but Sanchez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sanchez trying to mount his opponent but Je defends it.

Sanchez is working for a submission of some sort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sanchez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Je, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Je against the cage but Je circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Je as Sanchez tries to tie him up.

Je got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sanchez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Je has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted.

Despite being in the dominant position, Julio Sanchez just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sanchez is trying to maintain a safe position but Je gets an underhook and turns Sanchez into the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Je throws an elbow but it misses.

Je using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sanchez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Sanchez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Je takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez tries to stall but Je uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Je tries a knee to the head but Sanchez blocks it.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Je.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ray Je has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Je lands an elbow just above Sanchez 's eye.

Ray Je showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
