Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Valentim Terra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bibiano Fernandes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terra has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Valentim Terra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bibiano Fernandes!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes moves into the clinch.
Fernandes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Terra gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Fernandes tightens his grip and picks Terra up, before dumping him to the ground. Terra manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Terra is looking for a triangle but Fernandes pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Terra is breathing heavily.
Terra working a defensive guard here.
Fernandes scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Terra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fernandes is aware though and is defending well.
Fernandes wants to control from the top but Terra keeps moving.
Fernandes drops back looking for a leg! Terra is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Terra manages to kick Fernandes off! Fernandes jumps back into Terra's guard.
Fernandes passes Terra's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fernandes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fernandes moves into full mount! Terra won't be happy about that!

Fernandes connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fernandes lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fernandes has hold of Terra's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Terra manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
A nice elbow there by Fernandes.
Fernandes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Terra's face.
The referee warns Terra that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fernandes wants to control the pace but Terra is squirming around nicely.
Fernandes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Terra to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Terra shrugs it off.
Fernandes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fernandes jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Terra manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Terra is trying to get back to his feet.
Fernandes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fernandes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Terra tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Terra manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fernandes's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Terra is trying to get back to full guard.
Terra looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Terra wants to improve his position but Fernandes is controlling well.
Fernandes is nestled in close to Terra, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Terra is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fernandes pulls his head out easily.
Fernandes moves nicely into side control.
Fernandes is chipping away with strikes.
Terra is looking to regain half guard here but Fernandes keeps moving and retains side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Terra is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Fernandes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Terra, who protects the arm well.
Fernandes in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Terra is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
