The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzgerald uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rage.
Rage cracks Fitzgerald with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fitzgerald misses with a looping left.
Rage misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fitzgerald.
Rage throws a lazy right hand but Fitzgerald sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fitzgerald jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rage waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald thows a body shot but no joy.
Rage slips a straight right by Fitzgerald.
Roid Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rage gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rage can't keep his opponent in guard - Fitzgerald advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Fitzgerald is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rage trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Fitzgerald working for a guillotine from mount but Rage is in no mood to give up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzgerald looking to ground and pound but Rage is blocking nicely.

Rage wants to hold on but Fitzgerald pushes him away.

Fitzgerald throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rage has his hands clasped together but Fitzgerald breaks the hold and Rage is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Fitzgerald!
