PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Goralczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rohff - Dirty Hous'. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Goralczyk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Miller!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Goralczyk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Goralczyk slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Miller closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miller lands in his opponent's guard.
Miller trying to control but Goralczyk is working from the bottom.
Goralczyk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
Goralczyk preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Miller wants to control from the top but Goralczyk keeps moving.
Miller advances to half guard.
Miller trying to control from half guard but Goralczyk is working away.
Goralczyk is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Goralczyk is looking to control Miller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Goralczyk avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Goralczyk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Goralczyk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Miller is stalling in the full guard.
Goralczyk is trying to control the position but Miller postures up.

Miller drops back looking for a leg! Goralczyk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goralczyk manages to kick Miller off! Miller jumps back into Goralczyk's guard.
Goralczyk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goralczyk is striking off his back. Miller thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Still in half guard, Miller seems content to control.

Goralczyk looking for submissions off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Miller wants to land a leg kick but Goralczyk is out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Goralczyk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Miller has his hands clasped together around Goralczyk's back. He's all about the action.

Miller kicks off Goralczyk and gets to his feet.
Goralczyk is breathing heavily.
Miller throws a push kick but Goralczyk slaps the foot to one side.

Goralczyk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Goralczyk wants to stand but Miller is controlling his arm.
Miller wants to get back to his feet but Goralczyk drags him back down.
Miller is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Goralczyk's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Goralczyk is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller is pressing down on Goralczyk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goralczyk's guard.
Miller passes Goralczyk's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Goralczyk blocking the ground and pound attempt from Miller.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller is working for a kimura but Goralczyk is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Miller missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Miller dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goralczyk manages to avoid it.
Miller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Goralczyk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Piotr Goralczyk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miller fails in his attempt to clinch.
Miller throws a leg kick but Goralczyk moved away.
Miller tries to land a front kick but Goralczyk steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Miller is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Goralczyk's half guard.
Miller is keen to just control but Goralczyk is a slippery customer.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miller not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Goralczyk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Miller throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Miller is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Goralczyk is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
