Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Telly Kendrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Henning!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henning keeps the fight on the outside.
Henning tries to score with a low kick but Kendrick moves his leg out of the way.
Henning looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kendrick!
Henning throws a sloppy strike and Kendrick uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Kendrick has ended up in Henning's guard.
Kendrick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henning swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kendrick sitting in guard here, content to control.
Henning not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Henning is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kendrick is controlling him.
Kendrick trying to control but Henning is working from the bottom.

Henning really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kendrick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kendrick looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Henning wants to stand but Kendrick is controlling the position.
Kendrick drops back looking for a leg! Henning is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Henning manages to kick Kendrick off! Kendrick jumps back into Henning's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Henning keeping full guard, as Kendrick tries to pass.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Henning tries a head kick but it misses.
Henning is looking to clinch but Kendrick is avoiding it.
Henning throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kendrick was covering up waiting for the punch and Henning finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Henning wants to control from the top but Kendrick keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Henning tries to stand but Kendrick is controlling from the bottom.
Henning wants to control from the top but Kendrick keeps moving.
Kendrick wants to sweep but no luck.
Kendrick lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Henning!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Henning wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henning looks gassed!
Kendrick is working for a rear naked choke. Henning is not defending it well and Kendrick has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Henning refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Henning's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Telly Kendrick!
