Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chubbs Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffon has chosen I'm Shipping out to Boston by Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Forrest Griffon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Forrest Griffon!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chubbs Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griffon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Peterson's hands.
Peterson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Griffon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Peterson. That did some damage!

Griffon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Griffon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Peterson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Peterson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Griffon might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Peterson has got the better of the exchanges.

Peterson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Peterson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
