Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Forlen!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forlen closes the distance and clinches up with Coleman, looking for a takedown. Forlen pushes Coleman against the cage but Coleman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Forlen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Coleman swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Coleman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Forlen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Coleman is pulling down on Forlen's head. It's preventing any offense from Forlen, at least for the moment.
Coleman wants to stand but Forlen is controlling the position.
Forlen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleman is keeping the position for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Coleman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Forlen's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Forlen has his foot on Coleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coleman works his way back into a safe position though.

Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Forlen tries to sprawl out of it but Coleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Forlen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Forlen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coleman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mark Coleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Forlen misses with a takedown

and Coleman counters with a shoot takedown. Forlen fights it but they end up in guard.

Forlen can't keep his opponent in guard - Coleman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mark Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Forlen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Forlen tries to roll over but Coleman keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman content to control rather than advance.
Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Forlen tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
