The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ortiz drops back looking for a leg! Rizzo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rizzo manages to kick Ortiz off! Ortiz jumps back into Rizzo's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rizzo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ortiz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rizzo down.
Rizzo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rizzo throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Rizzo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Ortiz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Rizzo is rocked!

Ortiz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rizzo could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ortiz has cracked it and Rizzo is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ortiz!
